THE ORLAND CHAMBER LEVERAGES ITS POWER TO HELP AREA BUSINESS…
The Orland Chamber recently contacted area businesses to gain information about their waste management company services. As a result, the Orland Chamber is gaining bids from the three waste management companies that currently provide service to the town. While the three waste removal companies sharpen their pencils in an attempt to keep the service area, the Chamber hopes to drive down the cost for service. Your local Chamber of Commerce at work for area businesses!
DISCUSSIONS TAKE PLACE AROUND KEY EVENTS; CAN YOU SAY PROACTIVE…
Members discuss new ideas for key events. A few examples follow: invite appraisers to the farmers market for items such as jewelry, furniture, glass, and dishes; advertise / interview local businesses over the speaker system during the farmers market; develop ways to guide tourist traffic uptown during the festival; and highlight chamber business members in the local newspaper. If you have ideas on how to boost local business or should you want Chamber information, contact Ken at 829-6465.
